So on Monday I went to Farmington to pick up my new companion Elder Crawford, and our new missionary!! We’re training Elder Longhurst from Sheridan, Wyoming!! He’s great! You will never hear me call him a “greenie” because honestly that is a disrespectful title for the sacred calling he holds as a disciple of Christ.
So we have Elder Crawford, Elder Longhurst and Elder Anderson in Durango and oh my goodness…..we are having sooo much fun!! Like we just love the heck out of each other and laugh and talk all day. They could very well be my last companions and I’d be ok with that because we are having so much fun and working so hard.
The work here is going wonderfully! Mario is having a little bit of a hard time with reading his scriptures and coming to Church because he takes care of his dad full time. He quit his job and left school to take care of his dad and he can’t leave him for very long so he has a hard time coming to Church, please keep him in your prayers! Stacey is doing AMAZING! She is right on track, loves Church and while she was reading the Book of Mormon the other day she broke down into tears saying, “My daughter will be raised in this gospel.” So we’re excited!
The last couple weeks I’ve really learned to rely on the Savior so much. I really have yielded to the Eternal Truth that “all mankind were lost; and behold, they would have been endlessly lost were it not that God redeemed his people from their lost and fallen state.”-Mosiah 16:4 I learned that I really can’t merit anything of myself. All of my blessings, everything good that comes into my life, comes from our Heavenly Father and our Savior. I’m grateful for Their great love for me.
Love you all!!
