Another week in Winslow :)

Hope you all are doing well! We've had another eventful week down in Winslow! Lots of people to teach so we're staying real busy! The Messors are pastors for the Assembly of God and they've been meeting with us for a few months now. They believe the Book of Mormon is true, they're just having a hard time imagining everything in their life that would change if they accepted it. So we've been working very closely with them! Please keep them in your prayers!:) Leo Leonard is like 75 or 80 years old and he's REALLY REALLY close to being Baptized! Larry Oso is married to a member and he's set for Baptism too! Lots and lots of work that never ends!! It's overwhelming to think sometimes that out of the billions of people on earth that there are only 2 set apart full time to gather Israel in Winslow Arizona and the surrounding areas! It's definitely a blessing to be able to feel all of the prayers that are for us in the Temples and from members around the world though!

We've been doing a lot of service too, Winslow isn’t very prepared for floods and they've been getting some BIG ones. The core of engineers is currently working on a levee to surround the city and it's like as big as the ones that go around New Orleans! So we've been digging lots of canals and ditches for families. We've also been spending a lot of time helping families out in the middle of the desert sheer sheep for blankets and stuff. The good part is they feed you delicious food like Kineesh'dizh which is basically mutton, stew and fry bread, sometimes they change it up though!;)

I've been really blessed this week with comfort from Heavenly Father because some difficult things happened. We drove by Ericka Bakers house, who is an investigator on track for Baptism, and when we got there some people had just found her dead in the apartment a few minutes before we showed up, so yeah that sucked. We kind of just had to go home and take a breather. I spent a-lot of time in the scriptures and on my knee's. Heavenly Father reassured that the resurrection is real and that really helped me get through all of it. We went over and talked to the couple that found her body and they were really messed up so we were able to talk to them a lot about Gods plan of salvation and the power of the Resurrection. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to get through trials like this. I have no need to fear, Jesus Christ has died for me. The blessing of knowing that is priceless and I'm honored to be able to share that with the world!
