Happy Easter!

I believe this last week was one of the many refiner’s fires I will go through to become like my Savior. Never have I been brought so low and never have I felt so high. Tender mercies surrounded me this week, everywhere I turned I could feel Christ reassuring me that He was still there and would never leave. I know He's with me and I know He will never leave my side. On the Lowest point I found myself praying for a long time like 30 minutes or so, just begging to feel love or something. Right after I finished the phone rang, it was sister Nicole Smith. She said
"I don't know why but I just had a feeling to call you, I prayed and the Lord told me to call your mom too, she was praying for you too. I just want you to understand how loved you are and how much you are and will be missed..."
I couldn't believe it, I could feel the Love of God so strong for me at that moment, He lifted me up using people that Love me. It just shows that God does answer prayers, but not in the way you expect. He sent His love for me in through His children. Honestly, I love how he works. After that moment, I didn't look back and kept pressing forward, I wouldn't stop, I couldn't.

With the Help of the Lord we went to work and found 4 new investigators, and committed 3 people to be Baptized. We're on fire. We've been teaching a Spanish family that is just so wonderful, I can't speak very much Spanish and a lot of it needs to be translated for me but the simplicity of the lessons leaves a very powerful spirit. I definitely need to learn more, sometimes I panic and just stumble over words....lets just say that Feliz Navidad came out of someone’s mouth......and everyone just died laughing...Oh I love the memories of my mission.:)  Oh and it didn't stop there...Remember Jennifer??? SHE HAD HER BABY!!! Ahh he's so cute and she was out of the hospital in one day! Well....did you know Women are still very large after they give birth?.....I didn’t.....She answer's the door "Jennifer! Oh man your still pregnant it looks like."
Then I connected that her baby was in the room...."Ummm I'm an idiot, lets all accept that and move forward". She laughed, if I were to learn this lesson on anyone I'm so glad it was with Jennifer Knight. Lesson learned, just don't tell a women she looks pregnant..period, end of story, even if you "know" she is...:) Hope I saved someone a night of sleeping on the couch or a slap:)
Our new Investigators we found are Navajo, he was very, very, very....extremely drunk when we met Him but we didn't teach Him a lot and scheduled an appointment when he wasn't drunk...I can almost guarantee he won't remember us;)  We were also tracting in the trailer park and had a feeling to stop and go back to another trailer, the Women started to cry as we shared a quick Easter message, she was having a bad day, she invited us back:)
Easter was a blast! The Smith's had us over for their Easter dinner and tradition, I love them so much! We also spent some time with the Wilkerson's, proselyting and with our District! Good Easter! One of the members in our ward Is directly related to John Tanner and they have all these crazy stories about how they have NEVER gone hungry or struggled with things like that, pretty cool!
I know the Savior Jesus Christ lives and He works with His servants very closely to bring to pass the "immortality and Eternal life of man". It's an Honor to serve with Him and for Him.

Love Elder Anderson

Easter with the Smith's...Best family ever!

Transfers!

Transfers went by smoothly, Elder Conrad and I drove down to Farmington and he was picked up by his comp. I had to wait 4 hours for the transfer van to bring Elder Clarke up so I went out with the Tres Rios (Spanish Elders) while I was waiting. That was...interesting. I didn't here an English word for 4 1/2 hours.....every once and a while, I could tell they were making fun of me just sitting there and smiling :P It was cool though because you could still feel the spirit testify strongly no matter what language it was in. Elder Clark came up from the deep res....like DEEP res. Indian wells, and he hasn't seen a white person in 7 months besides the Elders. They couldn't drink the water there because they lived a few miles away from an old uranium mine...where the water came from....genius.

It has been stressful taking over the Area and training Elder Clarke how to interact with White people again;) It's been good though, Elder Conrad taught me well and I'm confident that I have the Area under my belt with the Help of the Savior. The work here is speeding up so fast. Because of Red Wilkerson's conversion, His daughter’s two nurses have accepted the Gospel, whose families have now accepted the Gospel. All have a goal to be baptized. It's cool to see the fruits of my missionary work already working miracles beyond what I had ever dreamed. I love this area with every part of my body and spirit. I work, live, cry, laugh and love for the Salvation of the people here. I've been praying to see them as the Lord see's them and Love them as the Lord loves them and man has it worked!!

So for P-day all the Elder's were shopping in Walmart and a Navajo wanted, no like demanded, to buy all of the groceries, $175 worth. After he did, he started yelling through the store, "IM SAVED!!!! IM SAVED!!!!!!!!" It was a fantastic experience for everyone in the store.:) I love the Natives here! So there are lots of them: Navajo's, Utes, Northern Utes, Hopi's and etc. It is so cool, the Hopi's have an ancient legend that their ancestors buried all of there weapons of war deep into the ground and then was surrounded by an Army of thousands......I about flipped out when I heard that!!!! They're such a peaceful loving people and after I heard that I KNOW a lot of them are Anti-Nephi-Lehi's. Crazy legends are everywhere like that, the Utes have one that if a certain huge rock falls over, that they're supposed to listen to the white people with a blue book. I honestly thought that one was fake until I confirmed it....I gotta find that rock and push it over.

All in all it was a great week, lots of new investigators. Great experiences and lots of laughs! I LOVE my mission!!

One of the first pictures from my mission looked like this, so "The Posterity Pic" is a tradition in my mission to take a picture with your trainer before they send you off.
Haha it's weird....but funny and I love it!

Another Crazy Week!

Where to start...the hospital? Or the trailer Park?;) This week was full of miracles, we've been meeting with Bonnie, she's a Baptist with a close-minded view on Mormons from bad experiences but she's been letting us share messages with her. On Thursday she finally let us share the restoration, I was so worried I would say something wrong, so much pressure because she was finally letting us! Well I prayed and the Lord told me "Don't worry about it Elder, your job is to give her the simple lesson, I will do the rest". Well the Lord pulled through, we were having her read a scripture out of the Book of Mormon, she stopped and looked at a different scripture, which was odd. She read it and said, "That scripture just connected this book with the Holy Bible. Elder Conrad and I bore our testimonies that the Book of Mormon testifies of Christ just like the Bible, The spirit was so strong it felt as though all of us in that room were burning with fire, she declared that she knew it was true. The Spirit constrained me on setting a Baptism date, I don't know why, but it's not time to ask her yet, but it was definitely a miracle.
Alex and Aaron fell of date last week as you know, but we reset them for March 19th, we were worried if they were converted, then in fast and testimony Alex got up and bore a powerful testimony on his conversion. He's ready. Elder Conrad also gave his last testimony. Yes, this is goodbye, Transfer news came Saturday, he's leaving to Bayfield, he's still in my zone which is cool but still so sad, the success we've had together is amazing and I'll never forget it. I'm picking up my new Companion in Farmington tomorrow, He's coming up from the Deep Rez (Indian Wells) He's a young missionary like me, I'm excited. He's gonna flip out on how many dinner appointment we get up here in white man land, Cortez is called the Garden of Eden or the Promised land in the MIssion haha:)
We went on exchanges one last time this week, I went with the brand new Elder and taught him a lot, we had a lot of fun. This transfer really ripped the district apart though, it will never be the same here, but I'm excited for a new adventure with Elder Clark.
We spent all day saying goodbye yesterday, and had a Huge dinner at the Smiths (basically our mission mama, I love them soooo much).

Soo time for the story: Well, Elder Conrad and I went Mtn. Biking with the Young Men, up in Phils World. It was AMAZING. Well towards the very end....You guessed it, Elder Conrad crashed...again...He flipped over his bike and dislocated his shoulder 100% out of place. I though he had a broken humorous it was protruding so much into his skin. So now we had a problem, we were in the Middle of Nowhere. Some of the young men went to get help while I treated Him. I used my shirt to make a sling that the ER docs were impressed with;) I try:) No, the Lord definitely helped us, I gave him a priesthood blessing that we could get him off the mountain safely because he was in shock and falling unconscious. Bishop found away to go off-roading so we only had to carry him about a half mile out. Took him to the Hospital, and they put him to sleep and set his shoulder back in place after an MRI exam. They released him that day and we spent the rest of the day hanging out with bishop playing Risk. Crazy adventure to go out on! I've definitely seen the Lord's hand in my life this week and Know He Lives! Hagonee!
