I Survived Transfers!

This week went by soo slow in preparation for Transfers! But the Lord decided Elder Conrad and I needed another one together! We're pumped! We've got it down and want to make this one our most successful yet!

We did lots of service this week! I replaced an entire transmission on a truck, which was crazy, interesting and fun! We moved like a couple tons of Hay...not as fun, but I felt like a real life farmer ;) We've been helping lots of people move in and out which has given us a lot of investigators! Toten Lake trailer park is, as always, producing almost all of them...by the time I'm done with that place it's going to be a branch!
I love my district, like we're so close so transfers are really sad as it starts getting ripped apart but there's no growth in the comfort zone!

We got to drive up to Durango this week for a world wide missionary broadcast from some of the Appostle's and General Authorities! That's one of my favorite parts about being a missionary is that we get to hear sacred devotionals ONLY for us, so it's Epic!!!!!

We got to go on exchanges this week and I had one of the most powerful experiences in my life, I also found out what real evil is and what kind of power the Priesthood has to cast it out. Yeah...skin wallkers, not even going to go into it.

I had an amazing week full of miracle's. Being an instrument in His hand is so cool because you can do anything!!!!!!!! All it takes is faith! And if we are to have faith like Enoch and Elijah we must live as they lived and cast aside the philosophies of men. I've truly experienced the Savior's atonement this week and know that Heavenly Father lives. Even though we didn't have any baptism's or a lot of lessons this week it was still one of my most powerful yet! I got into the doctor's and we said a prayer that he would be guided on how to heal my body. Holy Cow, from that moment on EVERYTHING he did, he did by the spirit. We totally changed the medicine I'm on and I'm sleeping normal again, and for the first time in almost 4 years I'm not experiencing fatigue on a normal daily basis!

I LOVE MY MISSION!!!!:)

This is called dog sledding :)

Beautiful day in Cortez!

Love my district!

Yá'át'ééh abíní

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So guess what?? Me and Elder Conrad are officially the mission example for car crashes-_- Everyone knows about the Mormons that drove off the canyon wall.....It's actually a great approach;) We had zone conference this week which was like 7 and a half hours of spiritual awesomeness, I couldn't believe how much I learned, also taught me that being an AP to the president would not be fun....but It's hard to stay under the Radar when you drive off the road haha. Tara is Baptized and a new member!!! It was such an awesome cool experience to see her on this journey and It's just getting started for her!!! She had it at 8 in the morning which meant we had to get to the church at 5 to start filling the font, twas an adventure. Then we woke up with a text from her that said "Good morning Handsome, I love you" haha we were so confused, then she texted "Whoops...wrong handsome, that was for Randy" Totes awkio...

I got to use my EMT skill again...we were just driving and their was a Navajo laying in the middle of the Road in the morning. Completely honestly I thought he was dead and wanted to keep driving but then I thought of the Good Samaritan, "fine...Ill go make sure he's dead" I told the spirit. But he wasn't and Had hit his head really hard so he was drunk, with a head injury which equals a lot of swearing and funny words. It brought back good memories to dealing with drunk people:-) Except now it's drunk Lamanites that don't have very much intelligence under the influence, hence laying in the road;) We also had a truck Inspection this week and we had to clean when it was like -1 degree. The spray just turned into frost before it even made contact...we lost.
I heard a quote that really struck me, "A religion that does not require the sacrifice of all things, never has power sufficient to produce faith unto life in Salvation". With my fatigue, I'm sacrificing everything my body has to offer and I'm seeing the blessings come from it. I love my mission so much and don't know how people can even live without going on one!! I'm learning so much!!!! Elder Anderson

Just changing it up :)

Wow...:P

Man was this week fun and wild;) Don't worry, I am pleased to report no injuries or accidents this week:) So I went to my first Native funeral.....I like ours better. There was literally people screaming at the top of there lungs and crying then laughing at the same time while pouring holy water over there faces and blessing the body....like whoa. Then they buried the lady in like a shallow grave in shiprock (we got permission to go down there) so all in all it was a very interesting cultural experience. Don't worry tho, they gave us fried bread after=-) I'm getting pretty good at Navajo, we found a Navajo women and taught her the restoration yesterday and committed her to Baptism. She knew that her ancestors were the Nephites and we talked about it for a long time, the spirit was so strong just confirming the fact that the Book of Mormon is real, I'm literally teaching Lamonite descendants. Her father was one of the Code Talkers and she's gonna show us a bunch of his stuff including some of the codes he was practicing.
So for the last month or so we've been teaching a women named Tara, she's basically been coming to church for 2 years and meeting with the missionaries since. I found her in church a month ago so me and Elder Conrad started teaching her the lessons again. Well a couple days ago she texted us and said "I'm ready to get baptized'!! This Saturday we're Baptizing her!! Our companionship is one of the most successful in the ENTIRE mission, on average we're baptizing a new convert every week and a half. I have a feeling it wont last long tho, there is no growth in the comfort zone so I'm sure Elder Conrad will get shipped out soon.
The snow was CRAZY this week! We spent all day digging people out, including ourselves! Also went on exchanges with our district leader in 4th ward and spent the day climbing around under this members house cleaning it...what a joy-_-
So I have to tell you this funny story. This lady in our ward(very active) went down to shiprock for something and when she got there she realized she had no phone, left her wallet, out of gas and only had 10 dollars...so she thinks for a little bit and knew she was in trouble....so she goes into the Casino and wins 2,000 dollars...like what do you say to that when she goes "The Lord Blessed me!" Haha I just told her not to rely on that method;)
I really struggled with fatigue and anxiety this week and the Lord gave me a-lot of tender mercies. The enabling power of the atonement pulled me through, my best friend finished her mission papers and I met so many amazing people. The Lord strengthened me, the relationship I have with our Heavenly Father and Savior is unbelievable. My mission is cementing the foundation of a full conversion to the Savior and skills to finish my life if righteous happiness. The Lord is gonna get his work done one way or another, and It's a blessing he's using us to do it. Thank you for all the prayers and support!

Crazy week...

Well this week was eventful...It sounds like you all heard about our little adventure..So we were coming down road 29 and a women in her car had gotten stuck in the middle of the road and another guy had pulled over to help her. If we would have hit them, the man would at least be dead. So Elder Conrad tried to go around them but the black ice was to much and we we straight off the road, like a rocket. The canyon wall was much steeper then Farmington Canyons, you can't really tell in the pictures. The Fire Department said we should have rolled, we went between 2 huge tree's that would have caused the Airbags to deploy, through a cow fence, 2 small pine tree's 60 feet to the canyon floor. Talk about a ride! By the time we hiked back up the fire dept. was there, then a lady slipped and hit her head so the ambulance was treating her..So now we have to L.D.S missionaries that just drove off a cliff, traumatic injury to the head, and 3 cars stuck on the road itself...it was chaos. Then After all this, the cop gave us a ride home and he went of the road and got stuck! So we had to dig him out tool...I went and layed on the couch for an hour thinking "....that just happened.." We were very blessed and know angels were protecting the women in the road and us. Our truck recorded us going off the road at about 15 miles per hour.

Also this week we did exchanges with the Zone Leaders up in Durango, we spent the night up there and then went to our Zone meeting in the morning at the Durango Steak Center! We were tracting and the spirit told us to go to this house....so we knocked and it was a college foreign exchange student house.........I think the Holy Ghost was playing a prank on us or something cuz it didn't work out with the language barrier;) New years was....uneventful considering we got slapped with a 5:30 Curfew:P We basically watched Bible Videos all night and ate top ramen;)

Red Got BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoo!!!!! It was soooooo cool!!!!! Haha so we stepped down into the water and the drain had been leaking...It took me not once, not twice, not three time, but four times to fully submerge him! The last one I had to go under with him to make sure:P On New Years day the disctrict got together and the senior couples house and played some games. I LOVE my district, they are seriously the funnest greatest people in the world. Sister Monson is from Holiday Utah, no she's not related to the prophet although she calls him uncle tommy;) Haha the new sister is from Grants, Elder Conrad is from Kaysville and then Elder Lethco is from Sacremento, and his comp is from Boise! I love them all!!

One of the ward members passed away so we went over to their house to give them a blessing and it was pretty cool, alot of the household arnt members and we're gonna start teaching them soon! This week was just a blast and zoomed by!

I love you all so very much! I pray for you all every night!

Red got baptized!
